Chisa Hutchinson is an American playwright. Her plays have won multiple awards including the 2010 GLAAD Award , a Lilly Award in 2010, as well as a Lanford Wilson Award in 2015. She was a Lark Fellow as well as a Dramatist Guild Fellow in 2010–11.
Presently, Chisa teaches creative writing at the University of Delaware, is standing by for the premiere on a new TV series she helped write for Starz (Three Women), and is currently developing a biopic for Chaka Khan as well as a pan-African heist flick for 30,000 FT and SuperSpecial.

Chisa Hutchinson. Chisa has earned a B.A. in Dramatic Arts from Vassar College and an M.F.A. in Playwriting from NYU. She’s landed some pretty cool gigs since then, such as writing and performing with the New York NeoFuturists and being a Staff Writer for Blue Man Group.
