Charles Calvert, 3rd Baron Baltimore (August 27, 1637 – February 21, 1715) was an English peer and colonial administrator. He inherited the province of Maryland in 1675 upon the death of his father, Cecil Calvert, 2nd Baron Baltimore. He had been his father's Deputy Governor since 1661 when he arrived in the colony at the age of 24.

The English proprietor of colonial Maryland, Charles Calvert, 3d Baron Baltimore (1637-1715), tried unsuccessfully to impose feudal authority on his colony in the late 17th century.
Charles Calvert, 3rd Baron Baltimore was an English statesman who was commissioned governor of the American colony of Maryland in 1661 and succeeded as proprietor of the colony in 1675. Like his grandfather George Calvert, 1st Baron Baltimore, Charles Calvert was a Roman Catholic, and anti-Catholic.
Charles Calvert grew up with the knowledge that he would some day become the Third Lord Baltimore and Proprietary Governor of Maryland. As the son of Cecil Calvert and Anne Arundell, Charles lived the privileged life of an English noble. Charles was also raised Roman Catholic, just as the rest of the Calvert family was.
