The Château de Châtillon-Coligny is a castle, later replaced with a smaller château, in the commune of Châtillon-Coligny in the Loiret département of France. [1] The present structure is heavily modified. Its origins were a medieval fortress whose keep was constructed around 1180.
Châtillon-Coligny is located in the department of Loiret, in the Centre region about 22 km south of Montargis. The town is bisected by the Briare Canal connecting the Seine to the Rhone by the side channel of the Loire, but by two small rivers : the Loing and Milleron.
