Cambridge (Māori: Kemureti) is a town in the Waipa District of the Waikato region of the North Island of New Zealand. Situated 24 kilometres (15 mi) southeast of Hamilton, on the banks of the Waikato River, Cambridge is known as "The Town of Trees & Champions".

Cambridge is a town in the North Island of New Zealand. It is located 24 kilometers southeast of Hamilton. It has a population of 21,600 and making it the third largest urban area in the Waikato after Hamilton, New Zealand and Taupo. It has four primary schools, one high school and one private school in the area.
History. Cambridge is in the heart of the Waikato, the second largest region for Maori population in the country. The town as we know it today, had its origins in war. Early History. It’s estimated that one in seven of New Zealand’s Maori live in the Waikato – that’s almost 80,000 people.
Cambridge is a tree-lined town with a very English feel, known as the Town of Trees. It is in the Waikato region of New Zealand, 24 km from the city of Hamilton, and the great Waikato River flows through it. Central Cambridge is on the north side of the river, and the suburb of Leamington is on the south side.
