The Sisters of Mercy é uma banda britânica de rock, fundada em Leeds em 1980 por Andrew Eldritch (vocais) e Gary Marx (guitarra). A eles juntaram-se Ben Gunn (guitarra, substituído por Wayne Hussey , em 1983 ) e Craig Adams (baixo).
The Sisters of Mercy are an English rock band formed in Leeds in 1980. After achieving early underground fame there, the band had their commercial breakthrough in the mid-1980s and sustained it until the early 1990s, when they stopped releasing new records in protest against their record company, WEA .
This is the official site of The Sisters Of Mercy. We are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. We are intellectual love gods. We make records, sometimes. We play concerts, sometimes.

The very best Sisters songs – we’ve chosen 25 – occupy wildly different positions on the money-time continuum: some were made at speed on a shoestring (and on speed), some took aeons and had the full might of a powerful record company (and we hazard, more expensive drugs) behind them.
