Morris William Travers (Londres, 24 de janeiro de 1872 — Gloucestershire, 25 de agosto de 1961) foi um químico inglês que trabalhou com Sir William Ramsay na descoberta de xenônio, neon e criptônio. Ele foi o diretor fundador do Indian Institute of Science.
Morris William Travers, FRS (24 January 1872 – 25 August 1961) was an English chemist who worked with Sir William Ramsay in the discovery of xenon, neon and krypton. His work on several of the rare gases earned him the name Rare Gas Travers in scientific circles. He was the founding director of the Indian Institute of Science.

20 de set. de 2010 · Morris Travers was born in Stroud in Gloucestershire. He was an undergraduate at UCL and stayed on to do research in the Department. Travers was Ramsay 's right hand man during the exciting years of the discovery of the noble gases and subsequently worked on the liquefaction of gases.
Young Morris was well schooled and showed an early interest in science. He entered University College, London, in 1889, and there came under the influence of Sir William Ramsay. Travers received his B.S. in 1893, and, like most of his contemporaries, he planned to specialize in organic chemistry.
