Mini Bio. The son of commercial artists, Richard Williams studied at the Ontario College of Art and first worked in animation for Disney Studios in Burbank. His tenure there had a strong influence on his later work but proved somewhat stifling to his own creative flair.

17 de ago. de 2019 · LONDON (AP) — Richard Williams, a Canadian-British animator whose work on the bouncing cartoon bunny in “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” helped blur the boundaries between the animated world and our own, has died. He was 86 years old.
Richard Williams' current project is a 16-DVD boxed set which brings together his legendary Masterclasses with his best-selling book to create The Animator’s Survival Kit – Animated. This has over 400 specially animated examples intercut with his 4 day Masterclass filmed at Blue Sky Studios in New York.
