Only one BT34 was built for Hill. Racing history 1971 Graham Hill driving the Brabham BT34 at the Nürburgring in 1971. Brabham used the BT33 in the 1971 South African Grand Prix. The BT34 made its debut at Spain, and Hill retired with steering issues. The Englishman crashed at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Hill moved to Brabham for 1971–2; his last win in Formula One was in the non-Championship International Trophy at Silverstone in 1971 with the "lobster claw" Brabham. The team was in flux after the retirements of Sir Jack Brabham and then Ron Tauranac 's sale to Bernie Ecclestone; Hill did not settle there.

Ron Tauranac (1971) Brabham BT34. Graham Hill took his final Formula One win in the non-championship BRDC International Trophy at Silverstone. Tauranac signed double world champion Graham Hill and young Australian Tim Schenken to drive for the 1971 season.
The Brabham BT36 was MRD's 1971 Formula 2 car, replacing the BT30. Most of the changes were those required by the new regulations, and the BT36 was only an evolution of the two-year-old BT30 design. Leading BT36 drivers included Graham Hill and Tim Schenken for Rondel Racing and Argentinian newcomer Carlos Reutemann.
