Dunrobin Castle Experience. Location: Highlands. Dunrobin Castle, with its spires reaching towards the sky and gardens sprawling towards the sea, offers a glimpse into the lives of Scottish nobility. As the largest northernmost house in Britain, it has been home to the Earls and Dukes of Sutherland since the 13th century.
Dunrobin Castle is on the east coast of the Northern Highlands overlooking the Moray Firth, just north of the villages of Golspie and Dornoch (famous for its cathedral and Royal Dornoch Golf Club). Dunrobin Castle is open annually from 1st April to 31st October. OPENING TIMES.
The ideal approach from the top of the hill is to come in from the left avoiding the bunker that is slightly to the right 20 yards short from the front edge of the green. The green gathers centre to rear. The gathering green can be tricky to read. Focus on Dunrobin Castle in the distance – but don’t forget the drop!
