Freesound is a collaborative repository of Creative Commons licensed audio samples, and non-profit organisation, with more than 500,000 sounds and effects (as of May 2021), and 8 million registered users (as of March 2019).
30 de out. de 2023 · Even though the essential structure of Freesound remains unchanged with the new UI, you’ll see that it introduces a ton of improvements in terms of workflow and features. Also, it provides new ground for adding more new features in the future.
5 de jun. de 2024 · In 2023, 40,940 new sounds were uploaded to Freesound (which corresponds to 1,134 hours of audio). Even though the number of new sounds is slightly lower compared to the previous year, the actual number of hours of audio has increased (70 more hours).
19 de dez. de 2019 · To the best of our knowledge, Freesound is the biggest website for sharing Creative Commons audio clips in the observable universe. It was started in 2005 as a research effort of the Music Technology Group in Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona.
