Not very far from the cemetery where Paul Klee is buried and just a few kilometers from the city of Bern, this museum has been designed as a tribute to the Swiss artist and to his oeuvre.
The Zentrum Paul Klee is a museum dedicated to the artist Paul Klee, located in Bern, Switzerland and designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano. It features about 40 percent of Paul Klee's entire pictorial oeuvre.

15 de out. de 2001 · With the Zentrum Paul Klee, Italian star architect Renzo Piano has created a light-flooded landscape sculpture made of glass and steel. The building with the three iconic hills is located in the east of Bern in the immediate vicinity of the Schosshalden cemetery with Paul Klee's grave.
In order to build a museum in memory and honor the most important Swiss artist, and generate a cultural center for the city was projected that this museum has more than 40% of the total work of Klee (donated by his daughter Livia ). The work was entrusted to the renowned architect Renzo Piano.

The complex nature of the shapes and articulations of the body of work of German-Swiss artist Paul Klee is reflected in the architecture of the Zentrum. The museum is part and parcel of the rolling hills and blends in with the natural landscape of the countryside outside of Bern.
