Yuka Makoto, better known as Sniper Mask and also known as "Mr. Mask" by Kuon Shinzaki, is an anti-heroic supporting character of High-Rise Invasion. He is the brother to Rika Honjo and a stepbrother of Yuri Honjo. After Kuon's supposed "death", the Sniper Mask became a God Candidate.
The Masks are various types of code encrypted masks that 'hack' into the wearer's brain and initiate commands. Smiling Mask, otherwise known as 'Angels', are the most commonly seen mask type. These masks are known to have three main commands, Despair, Murder, and Suicide.
On the roof of a high-rise building, a young girl named Yuri witnesses a masked figure split a man's head open with an axe! It's not exactly an everyday occurrence for a high schooler, but things only get weirder from there.
Sniper Mask accompanies Kuon despite not knowing the Command's order. Meanwhile, Yuri and Mayuko are given a bag from an emotionless Mask, which contains weapons and food. As Yuri sleeps, Mayuko and Rika awkwardly talk about Yuri's well-being and their alliance.

Honestly, you don’t expect a lot of character growth in this sort of series and especially not from a villain.
