Giambattista (o Giovanni Battista) Tiepolo (Venecia, 5 de marzo de 1696-Madrid, 27 de marzo de 1770) fue un pintor y grabador italiano, considerado el último gran pintor de la era barroca. Es una de las figuras más importantes del rococó italiano. Era hijo de un corredor de barcos.
