William Alexander Archibald Hamilton, 11th Duke of Hamilton and 8th Duke of Brandon (19 February 1811 – 8 July 1863) styled Earl of Angus before 1819 and Marquess of Douglas and Clydesdale between 1819 and 1852, was a Scottish nobleman and the Premier Peer of Scotland.

Duke of Hamilton is a title in the Peerage of Scotland, created in April 1643. It is the senior dukedom in that peerage (except for the Dukedom of Rothesay held by the sovereign's eldest son), and as such its holder is the premier peer of Scotland, as well as being head of both the House of Hamilton and the House of Douglas.

O título Duque de Hamilton, no Pariato da Escócia, foi criado em 1643. É o ducado mais antigo neste Pariato (após o Ducado de Rothesay, criado para o filho mais velho do soberano), e, como tal, seu titular é o Peer Premier da Escócia, além de ser cabeça tanto da Casa de Hamilton como da Casa de Douglas.

The 10th duke was an ardent admirer of the Emperor Napoleon and persuaded his son to marry Princess Marie of Baden, the daughter of the adopted daughter of Napoleon.
