Roy Ayers (born September 10, 1940) is an American vibraphonist, record producer and composer. Ayers began his career as a post-bop jazz artist, releasing several albums with Atlantic Records, before his tenure at Polydor Records beginning in the 1970s, during which he helped pioneer jazz-funk.

Roy Ayers (Roy E. Ayers Jr.), né le 10 septembre 1940 à Los Angeles, Californie, est un arrangeur, compositeur, interprète, musicien multi-instrumentiste et producteur américain.
Mystic Voyage is a studio album by Roy Ayers Ubiquity. It was released in 1975 through Polydor Records. Recording sessions for the album took place at Kaye-Smith/Van Ackeren Studios in Seattle, Washington and at Electric Lady Studios in New York City.
Ayers began his career as a post-bop jazz artist, releasing several albums with Atlantic Records, before his tenure at Polydor Records beginning in the 1970s, during which he helped pioneer jazz-funk. Among his hits are Everybody Loves The Sunshine, Searching and Running Away, as well as collaborations with Fela Kuti .
