  3. Click any image to isolate/enlarge. Owen Brown was born November 8, 1824, in Hudson, Ohio, to John Brown and Dianthe Lusk, their fourth child. He was named after John Browns father, an early abolitionist and pioneer of Ohio. Owens mother later died while giving birth to a seventh sibling.
