John Alan Lasseter (/ ˈ l æ s ə t ər / LASS-ə-tər; born January 12, 1957) is an American film director, producer, and animator. He has served as the Head of Animation at Skydance Animation since 2019.
John Lasseter is a renowned animator, director, producer and executive who co-founded Pixar Animation Studios and oversaw Disney Animation and DisneyToon. He won an Oscar for Toy Story and created many popular characters and franchises such as Cars, Coco, Frozen and Toy Story.

John Lasseter is one of the three founding fathers of Pixar Animation Studios . An animator, director, producer, and writer, Lasseter was responsible for most of Pixar's success and oversaw all of the studio's projects. He was the chief creative officer of both Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar until the end of 2018.
