  3. Biografia. Nascido em Trzebiatów, na Polónia, Frederico era o filho mais velho de Frederico II Eugénio, Duque de Württemberg e da marquesa Frederica de Brandemburgo-Schwedt.

After succeeding his father as duke of Swabia, Frederick was elected German king on March 4, 1152, in Frankfurt, succeeding his uncle, Emperor Conrad III.
