Fischbachtal is a municipality in southern Hesse ( Germany) in the district Darmstadt-Dieburg. The municipality has a total population of 2,686 inhabitants. The current mayor is Philipp Thoma, elected in 2017.
Fischbachtal liegt im vorderen (nördlichen) Odenwald. Durch die Gemeinde fließt der namensgebende Bach Fischbach, der über die Gersprenz bei Stockstadt in den Main mündet. Die Entfernung zum Main ist ungefähr gleich mit der zum Rhein bei Gernsheim.
Niedernhausen ist mit rund 1300 Einwohnern der größte Ortsteil der Gemeinde Fischbachtal im südhessischen Landkreis Darmstadt-Dieburg und Sitz der Gemeindeverwaltung.

Fischbach bei Dahn is a municipality in Südwestpfalz district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, western Germany . The hollow in which Fischbach lies is surrounded by hills rising to around 400 metres above sea level.
Geography. Location. Niedernhausen lies in the Rhein-Taunus Nature Park in the west of the Frankfurt Rhine Main Region north of Wiesbaden. The main centre of Niedernhausen (which alone is home to more than half the community's inhabitants) and the outlying centre of Königshofen stretch along the slopes of a dale.
