The Chester Kingsley House is an historic house in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Description and history. The oldest portion of this architecturally eclectic house was built in 1866, with Second Empire styling. The original owner was Chester W. Kingsley, a local politician, and the builder was Stephen Stiles.
Charles Kingsley (12 June 1819 – 23 January 1875) was a broad church priest of the Church of England, a university professor, social reformer, historian, novelist and poet. He is particularly associated with Christian socialism, the working men's college, and forming labour cooperatives, which failed, but encouraged later working reforms.
Kingsley is a civil parish and a village in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is approximately 5 miles south east of the town of Frodsham . The village is home to two primary schools – Kingsley St John's Church of England Primary School [2] and Kingsley Community Primary School.

29 de mai. de 2017 · Chester had been born in Hartford, CT and came to Rutland County as a child. Rhoda was born in Washington, CT. Ron & Linda Evans who restored the property say the home was built in 1778 by the Crary's and expanded in 1835 by the Kingsleys. The 1970's State historic survey categorized the house as being built in the 1820's.
