Family of Ida B. Wells-Barnett. Ida B. Wells and her husband, Ferdinand L. Barnett had four children together - Charles, Herman, Ida Jr. and Alfreda. Between their children they had a total of seven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Alfreda Barnett Duster (1904–1983) was a social worker and community activist in Chicago and the daughter of civil rights leaders Ida B. Wells and Ferdinand L. Barnett. She edited and published her mother's autobiography and shared her childhood memories and family stories in this interview.
In June 1895, she and Barnett married. The couple had four children, Charles Aked (1896), Herman Kohlsaat (1897), Ida B. (1901), and Alfreda M. Barnett (later Alfreda Duster) (1904).
