Amenhotep II (sometimes called Amenophis II and meaning "Amun is Satisfied") was the seventh pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt.
Amenhotep II, was the king of ancient Egypt (reigned c. 1425–00 bce), son of Thutmose III. Ruling at the height of Egypt’s imperial era, he strove to maintain his father’s conquests by physical and military skills.

Amenhotep II was the 7th Pharaoh of Egypt's 18th Dynasty. Amenhotep his birth name, meaning "Amun is Pleased, Ruler of Heliopolis". He is sometimes referred to by Amenhotpe II, or the Greek version of his name, Amenophis II.
