Almeric Hugh Paget, 1st Baron Queenborough, GBE (14 March 1861 – 22 September 1949) was a British industrialist and Conservative Party politician. He was a founder of the Military Massage Service and the Cambridgeshire Battalion of The Suffolk Regiment and treasurer of the League of Nations Union.

Home. Paget, Almeric Hugh, 1st Baron Queenborough (1861 -1949) Almeric Hugh Paget was the sixth and youngest son of Lord Alfred Paget, and Cecilia Wyndham. He was educated at Harrow and Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. He briefly worked for the Midland Railway in Derby before emigrating to the United States in 1881.

Early life. Born in London on 14 March 1861, Paget was the sixth and youngest son of Lord Alfred Paget (the fifth son of Henry Paget, 1st Marquess of Anglesey) and Cecilia Wyndham. [1] . His grandfather had commanded the British cavalry at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.
Almeric Paget, made 1st Baron Queenborough in 1918, was the grandson of the distinguished Field Marshal, Henry Paget, 1st Marquess of Anglesey and Earl of Uxbridge, who fought at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. Almeric, a businessman and politician, married the American heiress Pauline Payne Whitney in 1895.
