Biography. Anthony Gueterbock, also known as Tony Berkeley, was made a life peer in 2000 in order to continue sitting in the House of Lords following the removal of the hereditary peers. His first introduction to the House of Lords was in 1992 when he inherited the title Baron Berkeley following the death of his maternal aunt.
