Arthur Joseph Griffith (Irish: Art Seosamh Ó Gríobhtha; 31 March 1871 – 12 August 1922) was an Irish writer, newspaper editor and politician who founded the political party Sinn Féin.

Arthur Griffith was a journalist and Irish nationalist, principal founder of the powerful Sinn Féin (“We Ourselves” or “Ourselves Alone”) movement, and acting president of Dáil Éireann (Irish Assembly) (1919–20) and its president from Jan. 10, 1922, until his death.
