  1. Peter William Chiarelli (born March 23, 1950) is a retired United States Army general who served as the 32nd Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Army from August 4, 2008 to January 31, 2012. He also served as commander, Multi-National Corps – Iraq under General George W. Casey, Jr.

  2. Chiarelli pioneered efforts to restore government and economic stability as well as essential services during two tours in Iraq; exercised command and control of combat operations; and trained, prepared, and mobilized reserve forces for critical response operations.
