Alfred Ernest Brown CH MC PC (27 August 1881 – 16 February 1962) was a British politician who served as leader of the Liberal Nationals from 1940 until 1945. He was a member of Parliament and also held many other political offices throughout the Second World War.

British Liberal politician and holder of minor Government offices between 1931-1940. Followed Sir John Simon and split from the Liberal Party in 1931 to set up the National Liberals. Perhaps best remembered for the Unemployment Insurance (Agriculture) Act of 1936, and work in settling trade disputes.
