Milton Jackson (January 1, 1923 – October 9, 1999), nicknamed " Bags ", was an American jazz vibraphonist. [1] He is especially remembered for his cool swinging solos as a member of the Modern Jazz Quartet and his penchant for collaborating with hard bop and post-bop players.

Milt Jackson (born January 1, 1923, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.—died October 9, 1999, New York, New York) was an American jazz musician, the first and most influential vibraphone improviser of the postwar, modern jazz era.
Milton (Milt) Jackson was a jazz vibraphonist, known mainly for his bebop playing as a member of the Modern Jazz Quartet. Born in Detroit, Jackson showed an early affinity with music by picking out tunes he heard on the radio on the piano.
