The picture stars Wayne along with Stewart Granger, Ernie Kovacs, Fabian, and Capucine. The script is based on the 1939 play Birthday Gift by Ladislas Fodor and is set during the Nome gold rush.
John Wayne stars as a prospector who brings a dance hall girl to Alaska instead of his fiancée. The film features Stewart Granger, Ernie Kovacs, Fabian and Capucine in a humorous adventure set in 1900.
