Joseph Frank Bianco (born September 11, 1966) is an American lawyer and jurist serving as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He was formerly a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York .
Judge Bianco was appointed as a United States District Judge in the Eastern District of New York by President George W. Bush on January 3, 2006, and entered service on that same date. Judge Bianco obtained his B.A., magna cum laude , at Georgetown University in 1988 and received his law degree in 1991 from Columbia Law School, where he was a Kent Scholar and a member of the Law Review.
