Arthur Hermann Florstedt (18 February 1895 – on or after 5 April 1945), member of the NSDAP, was a German SS commander, war criminal and convicted war profiteer. He became the third commander of Majdanek concentration camp in October 1942. Florstedt was convicted of corruption and sentenced to death. Whether he was executed is unknown.

Hermann Florstedt, former Majdanek Concentration Camp commandant, was executed at Buchenwald Concentration Camp in Germany by a SS firing squad. He had been found guilty for having embezzled wealth left behind by murdered Jews.
Hermann Florstedt was a SS officer and camp commander who served in Sachsenhausen and Majdanek. He was arrested for embezzlement and murder in 1942, but never tried due to the war.
Trials. Already during the camp’s operation, two commandants of Majdanek: Karl Otto Koch and Arthur Hermann Florstedt, were arrested, convicted and sentenced to death for abuse of authority. The first trial of German camp staff took place while most of the country was still engulfed in war.
The first two German trials on crimes committed at the Majdanek Camp were carried out during the war by the SS-internal court system against two former camp commandants, Karl-Otto Koch and Hermann Florstedt. They were accused of having embezzled valuables confiscated from camp inmates.
Although Grabner's 1944 prosecution failed (it wasn't until 1948 that he was finally convicted and hanged in Poland), he got a better result with Hermann Florstedt, the Majdanek commandant...
