Oswald Ludwig Pohl (German: [ˈɔsvalt ˈpoːl] ⓘ; 30 June 1892 – 7 June 1951) was a German SS functionary during the Nazi era. As the head of the SS Main Economic and Administrative Office and the head administrator of the Nazi concentration camps, he was a key figure in the Final Solution, the genocide of the European Jews.

Oswald Pohl was a Nazi official and member of the SS (with a rank of SS-Obergruppenführer), involved in the mass murders of Jews in concentration camps, the so-called Endlösung (“Final Solution”).
Oswald Pohl was the head of the SS office that managed the forced-labor camps and industries during World War II. He was tortured and coerced into confessing to the extermination of Jews, but his wartime documents show that he focused on maximizing labor output and had no conflict with Himmler.
Oswald Pohl was tried on November 3, 1947, by an American Military Tribunal and sentenced to death. After spending three and a half years in a Landsberg prison death cell, he was finally hanged as a war criminal on June 8, 1951.
