Glenn Ricart (born August 1, 1949) is a computer scientist. He was influential in the development of the Internet going back to 1969 and early implementation of the TCP/IP protocol. Since then he has been active in technology and business as well as donating his time to philanthropic and educational movements.

What started as a “success catastrophe,” according to Dr. Ricart, ultimately sparked a level of human interconnectivity that defied all expectations.
Glenn Ricart brings forty years of innovation in computer networking and related fields to US Ignite. Glenn is an Internet pioneer who implemented the first Inter-net interconnection point (the FIX in College Park, Maryland) and was recognized for this achievement by being inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame in August 2013.
