5 de jun. de 2024 · Angela Ruggiero was a defenseman who played high school hockey at Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut, playing on the 1998 Olympic team while a student there, and college hockey at Harvard University, where she won the 2004 Patty Kazmaier Award as the top player in women’s college hockey.
The youngest player on Team USA at the 1998 Olympics – the inaugural event for women’s hockey – Ruggiero helped her team stun Canada in the gold-medal game. As special as that moment was, though, she experienced frustration repeatedly at the Women’s Worlds, finishing runner-up time and again.
