Douglas Wilmer (1920-2016) was an English actor, best known for playing Sherlock Holmes in the 1965 TV series. He also appeared in many films, such as Cleopatra, Patton, and The Pink Panther, and was an honorary member of the Sherlock Holmes Society of London.

Douglas Wilmer (1920-2016) was a British actor and writer, known for his roles in Octopussy, Jason and the Argonauts, and El Cid. He also wrote an autobiography series about Sherlock Holmes and painted from his home in Suffolk, England.
