Maidie Ruth Norman (October 16, 1912 – May 2, 1998) was an American radio, stage, film, and television actress as well as an instructor in African-American literature and theater.

Maidie Norman was an actress who appeared in films such as What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? and Halloween III: Season of the Witch. She also taught and directed at UCLA and was a founding member of the American Negro Theater West.

Norman was a founding member of the American Negro Theater West; in 1977, she was inducted into the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame; and an award in her name is presented each year for outstanding research by an undergraduate in Black Theater at UCLA.
