It is the oldest specialist drama school in the British Isles and a founding member of the Federation of Drama Schools. The institution is ranked 6th in the world by The Hollywood Reporter's annual list of the 25 top drama schools.

  5. The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, in short known as LAMDA, is a conservatoire that has been training artists for over 160 years. The academy’s current home is in Baron’s Court, West London, the former home of the Royal Ballet School, where it has been situated since 2003.
