The Power Station were a British-American 1980s/1990s rock and pop music supergroup originally formed in New York City and London in 1984. It was made up of singer Robert Palmer, former Chic drummer Tony Thompson, and Duran Duran members John Taylor (bass) and Andy Taylor (guitar).
It was originally founded in 1977 as Power Station and known as Avatar Studios from 1996 to 2017. Renowned for its exceptional acoustics, the studio has been the site of hundreds of gold, platinum, and Grammy Award -winning recordings.

Power Station Studios includes two of New York's premiere large studio spaces (Studio A and Studio C), the cozy vibe of Studio B, which is perfect for small to medium-size ensembles, and the elegant mix and overdub destination of Studio G.
