James Wallbourne is a British guitarist and singer-songwriter who has played with various bands and artists, such as The Pretenders, The Pogues and The Pernice Brothers. He has also released his own solo album, The Hill, and formed a duo with his wife Kami Thompson, The Rails.

James Walbourne is from Muswell Hill in London and has been in various bands, including Peter Bruntnell's band, the Pernice Brothers, Son Volt and The Pretenders, before releasing solo album The Hill in 2010. He has also been a touring member of Ray Davies's band and has played with Uncle Tupelo, Edwyn Collins and The Pogues.

Walbourne’s current project sees him embracing the wild excesses of rockabilly and punk, unleashing a couple of EPs under the name of His Lordship.
