Robert Lee, 4th Earl of Lichfield (1706–1776) was an English politician and peer, the last of the Earls of Lichfield. Birth and origins. Robert was born on 3 July 1706 in St. James Street, Westminster, London. [1] . He was one of the ten children and the youngest of the sons of Edward Henry Lee and his wife Charlotte FitzRoy.
He was the cousin and heir of Henry Lee of Ditchley . The 1st Earl of Lichfield from the Lee family was succeeded by his third but eldest surviving son, George Henry Lee, who became the 2nd Earl and 6th Baronet. He constructed the stately home of Ditchley in Oxfordshire. On his death the titles passed to his son George Henry Lee, the 3rd Earl.

7 de fev. de 2024 · From him was descended Sir Edward Henry Lee, fifth Baronet, Colonel of the first Foot Guards, who was elevated to the Peerage as Earl of Lichfield, by letters patent, on the 5th of June, 1674; Robert, the fourth Earl, died on the 4th of November, 1776, without issue, when the earldom of Lichfield and minor honors became extinct.*

Styled as Viscount Anson from birth, on 11 November 2005 he succeeded his father as Earl of Lichfield (U.K., 1831), Viscount Anson, of Shugborough (U.K., 1806), and Baron Soberton (U.K., 1806).
