  6. Charles Augustus Fitzroy was the eighth Governor of Prince Edward Island since the creation of the Colony in 1763. Charles FitzRoy was born on 10 May 1796, the eldest son of Lord Charles FitzRoy by his first wife, Frances Mundy. He obtained a commission in the House of Guards, and was at the battle of Waterloo.
