  1. Robert Pemberton Milnes (28 May 1784 – 9 November 1858), was a British landowner and politician. Early life. Robert Pemberton Milnes was born on 28 May 1784. He was the eldest son of Richard Slater Milnes, of Fryston Hall, Yorkshire by Rachael, daughter of Hans Busk (1718–1792) whose brother was Sir Wadsworth Busk. [1] .

    Richard Slater Milnes was MP for York from 1784 to 1802. It is recorded that Richard Slater Mines planted 384,300 mixed trees on the Fryston estate, he died 2 June 1804. The next owner, Robert Pemberton Milnes, succeeded his father and lived for a while at Fryston Hall.
