Elizabeth Updike Cobblah (born 1955) is an American art teacher and ceramicist, painter, and illustrator in Massachusetts. She is the eldest child of author John Updike, and was the model for several of his characters. She is married to Tete Cobblah. Early life and education
Elizabeth Updike Cobblah is an artist and educator who has taught art since 2003. She has traveled to countries in Europe, Africa and Asia. A lifelong resident of Massachusetts, she has made Ghana her beloved second home since 1985.

The papers of Mary Pennington Updike Weatherall were given to the Schlesinger Library by Weathall's children, Elizabeth Updike Cobblah, David Hoyer Updike, Michael John Updike, and Miranda Margaret Updike, in 2012 and 2019.

I was drawn to Fenn by the caring community that it is. My husband Tete was already teaching here [since 1985] and I felt it was a nurturing place for students, families, and faculty.
