The school is named after Saint Margaret Ward, a Roman Catholic martyr who was executed during the reign of Elizabeth I for assisting a priest to escape from prison.

Sixth Form. The Trinity Sixth Form is an exciting venture for St. Margaret Ward and our two partners: St. John Fisher Catholic College and St. Thomas More Catholic College. Launched in September 2012, the sixth form is also open to students who are not currently studying at one of the partner colleges.
