Margaret Lyon (died 1625) was a Scottish aristocrat and landowner. She was the daughter of John Lyon, 7th Lord Glamis and Janet Keith, daughter of Robert Keith, Master of Marischal, and sister of William Keith, 4th Earl Marischal.

When Margaret Lyon was born on 11 December 1547, in Glamis Castle, Forfarshire, Scotland, her father, Lord John Lyon 7th of Glamis and Holmes, was 32 and her mother, Janet Keith, was 33. She married Gilbert Kennedy 4th Earl of Cassillis on 30 September 1562, in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland.

18 de mar. de 2024 · It was with great sadness to hear that Margaret Lyon passed away in the early hours of Thursday, aged 84, having lost her brave battle with cancer. Margaret was a wonderful lady and a stalwart supporter of all things good – including rugby about the county, and the Pirates in particular.
