Lasso from El Paso is an album by Kinky Friedman, released in 1976. "Sold American" was recorded live while on tour with Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue. It was Friedman's last album of original material for more than 40 years.

Friedman has a husky voice and an off-kilter sense of humor best captured on the live-from-the-revue track, "Sold American." Also notable for a version of the Bob Dylan outtake, "Catfish."

English musician Ringo Starr has released 20 studio albums and 49 singles. Starr achieved international fame as a member of British rock band the Beatles. In the mid-'70s, Friedman and his band toured with Bob Dylan during the celebrated Rolling Thunder Revue tour, and in the wake of that he cut his third album for Epic, 1976's Lasso from El Paso, that featuring Dylan, Ringo Starr, and Eric Clapton.
