  1. Edward Richard Montagu, Viscount Hinchingbrooke (7 July 1692 – 3 October 1722) was a British Army officer and politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1713 to 1722. Hinchingbrooke was the eldest son of Edward Montagu, 3rd Earl of Sandwich and his wife Elizabeth, daughter of the Earl of Rochester .

Alexander Victor Edward Paulet Montagu (22 May 1906 – 25 February 1995), known as Viscount Hinchingbrooke from 1916 to 1962, as the Earl of Sandwich from 1962 to 1964 (when he disclaimed his peerages) and as Victor Montagu from 1964 to 1995, was a British Conservative Member of Parliament (MP).

  5. His son, Edward, was a successful parliamentary commander during the Civil War, and later became joint High Admiral of England. He helped to negotiate the Restoration of Charles II in 1660, and for this he was rewarded with the titles of Earl of Sandwich, Viscount Hinchingbrooke and Baron Montagu of St. Neots.
