The Music Academy of the West is a summer classical music training program in Montecito, California, and festival with performances in the County of Santa Barbara.
Based in Santa Barbara, California, the Music Academy presents the preeminent full-scholarship Summer School and Festival for classically trained fellows ages 18 to 34.
The Music Academy of the West inspires artists and concert-goers alike with the 2024 Summer Music Festival, featuring talented young musicians and outstanding teaching and guest artists in a wide array of performances, chamber concerts, public masterclasses, and competitions.
Since 1947, the Music Academy of the West has been making a unique and enduring contribution to the world of music by advancing the development of the next generation of great classically trained musicians and cultivating discerning, appreciative, and adventurous audiences.
