The New York University Tisch School of the Arts (commonly referred to as Tisch) is the performing, cinematic and media arts school of New York University . Founded on August 17, 1965, Tisch is a training ground for artists, scholars of the arts, and filmmakers.
Named for a generous gift from Laurence A. and Preston Robert Tisch in 1982, Tisch School of the Arts has emerged over the last 50 years as the country’s preeminent center for the study of the performing, cinematic and emerging media arts. Explore Our History.
