St Mary's School was a private day and boarding girls' school located in Wantage, Oxfordshire, England. In 2007 it merged with Heathfield School to become Heathfield St Mary's School (later reverted to Heathfield) and the Wantage site was closed.
St Mary’s School was established in 1872 in Paddington, then a relatively wealthy area of London, by the Anglican Foundation of The Sister of the Community of St. Mary the Virgin, Wantage. It was one of the earliest establishments to reflect changing Victorian attitudes to the education of women.
Town house, now school. c.1730, second storey added and extended to right and left in late C19; dormitory wing by Butterfield 1874. Flared Flemish bond brick with red brick quoins and dressings; old tile roof; brick stacks.

There was once a Public School for Girls in Wantage, St Mary's, which celebrates among its former pupils the great granddaughter of King George V, Lady Helen Windsor. It was founded in 1873 and closed in 2007.
SMOGs are the old girls of St Mary’s School, Wantage (1873-2006) and SMETs are the St Mary's Ex Teachers. In 2006 St Mary’s merged with Heathfield School, Ascot.
